SWDGA Inc. is a nonprofit organization existing primarily to promote dairy goats and their products.  We provide a forum for those interested in dairy goats and their products to come together in a club atmosphere to share common interests and goals.

SWDGA promotes and produces an annual summer Quad Show (This year-May 2nd and 3rd, 2009) that affords goat fanciers an opportunity to compete in a friendly yet professional atmosphere.  The Albuquerque Quad show is respected throughout the goat industry.  Several herds from neighboring states compete for Grand Champion at the Quad Show.  There, the opportunity is offered to local members who are unable to travel long distances to view and purchase healthy animals.

We also enjoy a working relationship with the New Mexico State Fair which is held in September of every year.  SWDGA provides numerous awards for both the youth show and the open dairy goat show at this event.

SWDGA’s newsletter (the Goatzette) features upcoming events, meeting announcements, show results and articles relative to our dairy goats.  This feature will be on the NEWS page, once it is completed.

Information and entry forms for the Quad Show will soon be available for download on the website on the SHOWS page as well as the posting of show results.  Photos from the shows and social events will be available for viewing on the PHOTO ALBUM page.

If you are interested in joining our group you can download and print an Application for Membership from our MEMBERS page.  We will not be charging a membership fee for the 2009 year, as we are in the process of rejuvenation.
