YOUTH SHOW & NEWS – Linda Grilli

The Youth Show will be held on Saturday, July 23, at the Torrance County Fairgrounds in Estancia.  It will be sanctioned through ADGA for Nubians, LaManchas, Nigerians, Recorded Grades and AOP.  It will be sanctioned through the Miniature Dairy Goat Association for minis.  There will be showmanship classes for Cloverbuds, Novices, Juniors and Seniors.

There will be food and snacks available on the grounds.

There will also be three educational playdays, one in Capitan on May 13, in conjunction with Ag Day, one in Roswell on May 28, and one in Estancia on June 18.  In addition to the dairy breeds, Pygmies and Angoras will be featured, and there will also be information on drayage, both cart goats and pack goats.  This is a great opportunity to come and learn more about the animals we all love.

Please come and support our youth.  Even if you don’t have children involved in these events, we would love to have you there, cheering them on.  If you would like to help at the show or the playdays, or otherwise participate in the Youth Committee, please give me a call (505-281-1795).  The kids are working hard to make these days a success.
